Significant collaboration between Brunei Darussalam and Australia in major fields including education, economy and trade was among the matters discussed during a Courtesy Call by the Australian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam to the Speaker of the Legislative Council.

During the Courtesy Call, both parties also stressed on the long-established close bilateral ties between Brunei Darussalam and Australia, strengthened through Comprehensive Sharing that acts as a vital platform in collaboration between both nations. The discussion also touched on Australia's commitment in strengthening ties with ASEAN Member States, and inter-parliamentary collaboration opportunities.
